Dexter Predictions

I know I usually start the Dexter predictions with a HOLY SHIT but I really mean
it this week when I say HOLY SHIT! First of all if you haven’t watched the season
finale of Dexter yet, I gotta warn you there are some serious spoilers. Where shall
I start? Well let’s start with the fact that Debra now knows that Dexter was brothers
with the ice truck killer Brian Moser. She knows that and knows that Brian used Deb
to get close to Dexter. She still doesn’t know that Dex is a serial killer but that will
happen next season. That is what I am betting the farm on, that Deb will find out
that Dex is a serial killer come next season finale. That may be the next season finale
shocker. Still not sure where the writers are going with LaGuerta and Batista being
married and to be honest I could give a flying fuck where they go with it. Of course,
as predicted, Dexter killed Trinity in the season finale and it seems that Trinity pretty
much accepted his fate when Dex swung the hammer. The big season finale shocker
this season is that before Dex killed Trinity, Trinity killed Rita. I was blown away by
this. Trinity left Harrison, Dexter’s son, in a pool of Rita’s blood in the bathroom.
Dexter seemed to go into shock when he discovered Rita and just picked up Harrison
and took him into the other room. Not sure how Dex is going to explain the death of Rita
the same way that Trinity killed his victims. I mean if Deb sees that Dexter was connected
to the ice truck killer and Trinity then it will definitely raise some questions. As of
now deb is the only one who knows Dex was connected to the ice truck killer so I am
thinking that Deb will figure out what Dexter really is by episode two of season 5.
As for Rita, I am very upset that she was killed because she has been around since episode
one of season one and she was hot and I think she was really good for Dexter. So either Dex
is going to grow distraught and go on a killing spree or he is going to see the error of his ways
and cut down on killing or possible quit killing altogether. If you watched the Michael C.
Hall and John Lithgow interview after the season finale you will remember Lithgow saying
that everyone will be rewinging their dvr’s to see the conversation Dex had with Trinity
and it would take on a much darker aura. I personally am gonna rewatch the season finale
today and pay close attention to the conversation Dex had with Harry while he was in jail
and see if I can predict wether or not Dex will cut down on killing to be a family man or
he will give up family to be a better killer. I am still not sure which direction he will take.

P.S. in an interview with Clyde Phillips on The Ausiello Files he tells them that Trinity
did not tell Rita what Dexter was before killing her. That was a very VERY good question.
